Cumberland Electronics Strategic Supply is Hiring a Purchasing Manager Near Harrisburg, PA
JOB PURPOSE
Manage and coordinate the sourcing and procurement of items needed to support our customers' needs and lead the purchasing team to support the growth strategy of the company
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
- Manages supplier relationships
- Actively identify and implement new opportunities / purchasing channels for the business to benefit from
- Build and maintain cross-functional stakeholder relationships (VMI, Sales and Management)
- lead the development and execution of purchasing plans and sourcing strategies that include industry trends, spend analytics, project pipeline, cost savings and resource planning activities
- Maintain product details and procurement unit information in the ERP system
- Develop and execute cost savings strategies to support company goals and departmental commitments
- Negotiate pricing agreements and blank orders with vendors
- Communicate with vendors regarding backordered material, better pricing and delivery times
- Be aware of current market trends and competitors
- Be proactive in the resolution of potential or existing problems
- Attend training as assigned
